Meet us at the bus stop « Notre Dame de la Garde » (bus number 60) to start a great tour during which we’ll have the best views ever of Marseille, from the city’s most famous place, Notre Dame de la Garde. The guide will be waiting for you with a light blue umbrella to tell you everything about the oldest
city in France and most especially, the history of Marseille’s main monument!
We’ll have a walk around the basilic enjoying a 360° breathtaking view over Marseille, the best way to admire and know everything about Old Port, Château d’If, Frioul islands, the Calanques National Park, Marseille’s football stadium, among others. Once we’ve finished our tour around Notre Dame de la Garde, we’ll walk down the hill passing by a second world war’s memorial, a tank which was used to recover the Basilic from the Nazis! Then, you’ll have the chance to admire Saint Victor’s Abbey, one of the most important Christian monuments in the region. To end this tour, we’ll get up to the Pharo Palace, a magnificent building ordered by Napoleon the 3rd overlooking Marseille’s Old Port and its historic neighborhood.
