One of the most well-known pictures of Marseille. Here you’ll find a sandy beach in a large calanque.
You can have lunch or dinner thanks the only restaurant in site: Le Château (very good fish).
Please, note that during the high season the acces to the calanques is regulated. It means you cannot get there by car, only by feet. However, if you make a reservation in one of these restaurants they will give you a password allowing you to reach the calanque by car (parking: 4€).
Please, think about taking a big bottle of water with you! It might get very hot and we do not want you to have a bad time.

How to get there:
- From Rond Point du Prado, metro station (METRO 2 – right next to the football stadium) take the bus number 22 (not 22S) and get off at the last station, called “Les Baumettes”.
- As soon as you get of the bus, keep on walking straight until you get to a parking lot (you’ll pass by one of our favorites and most authentic restaurants in the city Chez Zé). Once in the parking lot, take the path on your right and after 40-45 minutes of hicking (following the red line) you’ll be in Sormiou.
